\n<\/span>Peruvian Balsam from Myroxylon Pereir\u00e6<\/b><\/p>\n

Useful in bronchial catarrh, with copious, purulent expectoration.\u00a0Debility; hectic fever<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nose.–<\/b><\/span>Profuse, thick discharge. Eczema, with ulceration. Chronic, fetid, nasal catarrh.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Vomiting of food and mucus. Catarrh of stomach.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Chest.–<\/b><\/span>Bronchitis, and phthisis,\u00a0with muco-purulent, thick, creamy expectoration<\/i><\/span>. Loud rales in chest (Kali sulph; Ant tar<\/i><\/span>). Very loose cough. Hectic fever and night-sweats, with irritating, short cough and scanty expectoration.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Urine.–<\/b><\/span>Scanty; much mucus sediment. Catarrh of bladder (Chimaph<\/i><\/span>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Balsamum Tolutanum<\/i><\/span>-the balsam of Myroxylon toluifera–(chronic bronchitis with profuse expectoration) (Oleum caryophyllum<\/i><\/span>-oil of cloves-in\u00a0profuse<\/i><\/span>\u00a0septic expectoration-3 to 5 minims in milk or capsules).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dose.–<\/b><\/span>First attenuation: In hectic 6x.<\/p>\n

Extra homeopathic uses locally. As a stimulant to raw surfaces in indolent ulcers, scabies, cracked nipples, rhagades, itch. Promotes granulation, removes fetor. A one per cent solution in alcohol or ether may be used with the atomizer in respiratory affections. Internally, as an expectorant, in chronic bronchitis. Dose, 5 to 15 M, made into an emulsion with mucilage or yolk of egg.<\/p>\n
