BISMUTHUM SUBNITRICUM<\/span>
\n<\/span>Precipitated Sub-Nitrate of Bismuth
\n(BISMUTHUM)<\/b><\/p>\n

Irritation and catarrhal inflammation of the alimentary canal, is the chief and action of this drug.<\/p>\n

Mind.–<\/b><\/span>Solitude is unbearable.\u00a0Desire for company<\/i><\/span>. Complains about his condition.\u00a0Anguish<\/i><\/span>. Discontented.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Headache alternates with gastralgia. Neuralgic pain, as if torn by pincers; involves face and teeth; worse, eating; better, cold; alternate with gastralgia. Cutting or pressure above right orbit extending to occiput. Pressure in occiput; worse, motion; with heaviness.<\/p>\n

Mouth.–<\/b><\/span>Gums swollen<\/i><\/span>. Toothache; better, cold water in mouth (Coff<\/i><\/span>). Tongue white. Swollen. Black, gangrenous looking wedges on dorsum and sides of tongue. Profuse salivation, teeth loose. Thirst for cold drinks.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Vomits, with convulsive gagging and pain.\u00a0Water is vomited as soon as it reaches the stomach<\/i><\/span>. Eructation after drinking. Vomits all fluids.\u00a0Burning; feeling of a load<\/i><\/span>. Will eat for several days; then vomit. Slow digestion, with\u00a0fetid<\/i><\/span>\u00a0eructations. Gastralgia; pain from stomach through to spine. Gastritis.\u00a0Better, cold drinks<\/i><\/span>, but vomiting when stomach becomes full.<\/p>\n

Tongue coated white; sweetish, metallic taste. Inexpressible pain in stomach; must bend backwards. Pressure as from a load in one spot, alternating with burning, crampy pain and pyrosis.<\/p>\n

Stool.–<\/b><\/span>Painless diarrh\u015ba, with great thirst, and frequent micturition and vomiting. Pinching in lower abdomen, with rumbling.<\/p>\n

Respiratory.–<\/b><\/span>Pinching in middle of diaphragm, extending transversely through chest. Angina pectoris; pain around heart, left arm to fingers.<\/p>\n

Extremities.–<\/b><\/span>Cramps in hands and feet. Tearing in wrist. Paralytic weakness, especially right arm. Tearing in tips of fingers under nails (Berb<\/i><\/span>). Itching erosion near tibia and back of feet near joints. Cold limbs.<\/p>\n

Sleep.–<\/b><\/span>Restless on account of voluptuous dreams. Sleepy in morning, a few hours after eating.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Antidotes:\u00a0Nux; Capsic; Calc<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Compare:\u00a0Antimon; Ars; Bellad; Kreosot<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Dose.–<\/b><\/span>First to sixth potency.<\/p>\n
