CADMIUM SULPHURATUM<\/span>
\n<\/span>Cadmic Sulphate<\/b><\/p>\n

Its pathogenesis gives symptoms corresponding to very low forms of disease, as in cholera,\u00a0yellow fever<\/i><\/span>, where, with exhaustion, vomiting, and\u00a0extreme prostration<\/i><\/span>, the disease runs deathward. Important gastric symptoms. Carcinoma ventriculi; persistent vomiting.<\/p>\n

The attack is upon the stomach more especially. Patients must keep quiet.\u00a0Chilliness and coldness<\/i><\/span>\u00a0even when near the fire.<\/p>\n

Mind and Head.–<\/b><\/span>Unconscious. Vertigo; room and bed seem to spin around. Hammering in head. Heat in head.<\/p>\n

Nose.–<\/b><\/span>Oz\u0107na<\/i><\/span>. Tightness at root. Nose obstructed;\u00a0polypus<\/i><\/span>. Caries of nasal bones. Boils on nose. Nostrils ulcerated.<\/p>\n

Eyes.–<\/b><\/span>Opacity of cornea<\/i><\/span>. Blue circle around eyes. One pupil dilated. Night blindness.<\/p>\n

Face.–<\/b><\/span>Distortion of mouth. Trembling of jaw.\u00a0Facial paralysis<\/i><\/span>; more left side.<\/p>\n

Mouth.–<\/b><\/span>Difficult swallowing. \u015asophagus constricted (Bapt<\/i><\/span>). Salty belching. Intense nausea, with pain and cold. Stringy, offensive exudation on mucous membrane. Salty taste.<\/p>\n

Throat.–<\/b><\/span>Sore throat, constant tickling; gagging and nausea, worse deep breathing; chilliness and aching.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Soreness in pit of stomach on pressure. Violent\u00a0nausea<\/i><\/span>; retching.\u00a0Black vomit<\/i><\/span>. Vomiting of mucus, green slime, blood, with great prostration, and great tenderness over the stomach. Burning and cutting pains in stomach. Carcinoma, helps the persistent vomiting. Coffee ground vomiting.<\/p>\n

Abdomen.–<\/b><\/span>Sore, tender, tympanitic. Region of liver sore. Coldness. Black, offensive clots of blood from bowels. Pain in abdomen, with vomiting. Tenderness and tympanites.<\/p>\n

Stool.–<\/b><\/span>Bloody, black, and offensive. Gelatinous, yellowish green; semi-fluid, with urinary suppression.<\/p>\n

Urine.–<\/b><\/span>Rawness and soreness in urethra, urine mixed with pus and blood.<\/p>\n

Heart.–<\/b><\/span>Palpitation, with constriction of chest.<\/p>\n

Fever.–<\/b><\/span>Icy coldness<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(Camph; Verat; Heloderm). Yellow fever (Crotalus; Carbo).<\/i><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Blue, yellow, sallow, scaly, cracking. Itching; better scratching. Chloasma, yellowish stains on nose and cheeks; worse exposure to sun and wind. Chilblains.<\/p>\n

Sleep.–<\/b><\/span>Stops breathing on going to sleep. Wakes up suffocating. Fears to go to sleep again. Protracted sleeplessness.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>, walking or carrying burdens; after sleep; from open air, stimulants.\u00a0Better<\/i><\/span>, eating and rest.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare:\u00a0Cadmium oxide; Cad brom<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(pain and burning in stomach, and vomiting);\u00a0Cadmium jodat<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(Itching of anus and rectum felt during the day only; constipation frequent desire, tenesmus, abdomen bloated);\u00a0Zinc; Ars; Carbo; Verat<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Dose.–<\/b><\/span>Third to thirtieth potency.<\/p>\n
