This remedy is often of service in many types of headaches, neurasthenic,\u00a0periodical sick<\/i><\/span>, menstrual and bilious. Taken for several weeks, drop doses, will often break up the sick headache habit. The pain in the forehead, chiefly over eyes. Eyeballs very painful, with pressure over root of nose. Hepatic derangements.\u00a0Jaundice<\/i><\/span>. Enlarged spleen (Ceanoth<\/i><\/span>). Jaundice with arrest of menses. A prominent liver remedy.\u00a0Gallstones<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(Berberis; Cholest; Calc<\/i><\/span>).\u00a0Diabetes mellitus<\/i><\/span>. Paroxysmal, abdominal pain.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Listless, apathetic. Dull frontal headache, over root of nose, over eyes, through temples, worse stooping, motion, jar.\u00a0Yellow conjunctiva<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Tongue.–<\/b><\/span>Broad with thick yellow fur.<\/p>\n

Mouth.–<\/b><\/span>Dry sensation not relieved by water, also profuse saliva.<\/p>\n

Abdomen and Liver.–<\/b><\/span>Aching in umbilical region, griping. Feels as if a string were tied in a “slip-knot” around intestines which was suddenly drawn tight and then gradually loosened.\u00a0Sore; enlarged, with jaundice<\/i><\/span>\u00a0and constipation. Clay-colored stool, also soft, yellow and pasty. Tongue heavily coated. No appetite. Bilious colic. Hepatic region tender. Pancreatic disease and other glandular disorders.<\/p>\n

Urine.–<\/b><\/span>Large amount of high specific gravity; frequent urination; bile and sugar in urine. Urine very dark.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Yellow; marked moisture of skin. Sallow, greenish, itching.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare:\u00a0Cinchona; Ceanoth; Chelidon; Carduus; Podophyl; Lept<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Dose.–<\/b><\/span>Tincture and first attenuation.<\/p>\n
