\n<\/span>Cochineal<\/b><\/p>\n

The clinical application of the symptoms of this remedy, place it among the medicines for spasmodic and whooping coughs, and catarrhal conditions of the bladder; spasmodic pains in kidneys, with visceral tenesmus. Anuria, anasarca, ascites.<\/p>\n

Mind.–<\/b><\/span>Early morning or afternoon sadness.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Suboccipital soreness; worse after sleep and exertion. Headache, worse from lying on back, better with the head high. Dull pain over right eye in morning.\u00a0Sensation of a foreign body between upper lid and eyeball<\/i><\/span>. Distress from cinders lodged in eye.<\/p>\n

Respiratory.–<\/b><\/span>Constant hawking from enlarged uvula; coryza, with inflamed fauces;\u00a0accumulation of thick viscid mucus<\/i><\/span>, which is expectorated with great difficulty.\u00a0Tickling in larynx<\/i><\/span>. Sensation of a crumb behind larynx, must swallow continually; brushing teeth causes cough. Fauces very sensitive. Suffocative cough; worse, first waking, with tough, white mucus, which strangles. Spasmodic morning cough.\u00a0Whooping cough attacks end with vomiting of this tough mucus<\/i><\/span>. Chronic bronchitis complicated with gravel; large quantities of albuminous, tenacious mucus, are expectorated. Walking against wind takes breath away.<\/p>\n

Heart.–<\/b><\/span>Sensation as if everything were pressed toward the heart.<\/p>\n

Urinary.–<\/b><\/span>Urging to urinate;\u00a0brick-red sediment. Urinary calculi, h\u00e6maturia, urates<\/i><\/span>, and uric acid; lancinating pains from kidney to bladder. Deep-colored, thick urine. Dysuria.<\/p>\n

Female.–<\/b><\/span>Menses too early, profuse,\u00a0black<\/i><\/span>\u00a0and thick;\u00a0dark clots<\/i><\/span>, with dysuria. Intermittent menstruation; flow only in evening and at night.\u00a0Large clots<\/i><\/span>\u00a0escape when passing water.\u00a0Labia<\/i><\/span>\u00a0inflamed.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>, left side, after sleep, touch, pressure of clothing, brushing teeth, slightest exertion.\u00a0Better<\/i><\/span>, walking.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare:\u00a0Canth; Cact; Sars<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Dose.–<\/b><\/span>Lower triturations.<\/p>\n
