Large doses produce violent purging and vomiting; disturbed digestion with very salty saliva. An\u00e6mic and chlorotic conditions. Affections of uterus. Gastro-intestinal and genito-urinary tracts affected, inducing secondary an\u00e6mia and various reflexes.\u00a0Sleepiness, moroseness, and lassitude<\/i><\/span>. Cough at night while asleep without waking, especially in children (Cham; Nitr ac<\/i><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Terrors of conscience. Grieves over duty neglected. Depression, with weeping desire to be alone. Aching in morning, with\u00a0flickering before eyes<\/i><\/span>; sneezing with itching in ear. Vertigo; things turn in a circle; better in the room; worse, open air. One-sided headache. Frequent sneezing with itching in ears.<\/p>\n

Eyes.–<\/b><\/span>Dim vision, worse on waking, with spots before eyes.\u00a0Flickering of various colors<\/i><\/span>. Convergent strabismus.\u00a0Sees countless stars<\/i><\/span>. Diplopia. Disturbance of vision, associated with gastric disturbances.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Salty taste<\/i><\/span>; hiccough-like eructation worse, fat food. Diarrh\u0153a after every cup of coffee;\u00a0hiccough<\/i><\/span>. Satiety after a few mouthfuls. Disgust for meat, especially pork. Desire for lemonade. No thirst all day.<\/p>\n

Rectum.–<\/b><\/span>Pain about anus and perineum<\/i><\/span>, as if a spot were suppurating, when walking or sitting.<\/p>\n

Female.–<\/b><\/span>Menses\u00a0profuse, black<\/i><\/span>, membranous,\u00a0clotted, too early, with labor-like pains<\/i><\/span>\u00a0from back to pubes. Flow less when moving about. Menstrual irregularities with megrim and blindness, or fiery spots before eyes.\u00a0Hiccough during pregnancy<\/i><\/span>. Post-partum h\u00e6morrhage, with colicky bearing-down pains, with relief after gush of blood. After menses, swelling of breasts, with milky secretion.<\/p>\n

Extremities.–<\/b><\/span>Pains in parts where bones lie near surface. Burning,\u00a0sore pain in heels<\/i><\/span>. Cramp-like contraction of right thumb and index finger. Pains in periosteum. Chilblains.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Acne in young women, pruritus better scratching and appearance of menses.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>, open air, evenings, sitting, standing, and cold water.\u00a0Better<\/i><\/span>, during menstrual flow, by moving about, rubbing parts; in warm room, lemonade.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare:\u00a0Ambra; Pulsat; Cinchona; Fer cit et Chin<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Dose.–<\/b><\/span>Third attenuation.<\/p>\n
