Irresistible desire to wander from home at night. Effects of damp weather.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Nausea and vomiting, with great weakness. Griping pains in bowels.<\/p>\n

Stool.–<\/b><\/span>Watery, copious, forceful. Squirting diarrh\u0153a<\/i><\/span>; frothy, olive green, with cutting in abdomen.<\/p>\n

Extremities.–<\/b><\/span>Sharp pains in fingers and thumbs, knees, toes, and instep. Gouty pain in great toes. Pain extends down extremities; pain in hip-joints with diarrh\u0153a. Arthritic nodules.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Smarts, stings, and burns. Dropsical. Urticaria from suppressed intermittent. Skin, orange color.<\/p>\n

Fever.–<\/b><\/span>Chill comes on with much\u00a0yawning and stretching<\/i><\/span>, lasting all through chill. Pain in extremities, darting into fingers and toes. Chills and fever, with spurting diarrh\u0153a.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>, from exposure on damp ground.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare:\u00a0Bry; Croton; Gambogia<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Dose.–<\/b><\/span>Third to thirtieth potency. As a hydragogue cathartic to produce free discharge in dropsies, Elaterin 1-20 of a grain. Palliative only.<\/p>\n
