FLUORICUM ACIDUM<\/span>
\n<\/span>Hydrofluoric Acid<\/b><\/p>\n

Especially adapted to chronic diseases with syphilitic and mercurial history.\u00a0Glabella region bloated<\/i><\/span>. Acts especially upon lower tissues, and indicated in deep, destructive processes, bedsores, ulcerations, varicose veins, and ulcers. Patient is compelled to move about energetically. Complaints of old age, or the prematurely aged, with weak, distended blood vessels. Hob-nailed liver of alcoholics.\u00a0Goitre<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(Dr. Woakes) (Kali fluoride produced bronchocele in dogs). Early decay of teeth. Old cases of nightly fevers, coming on periodically.<\/p>\n

Mind.–<\/b><\/span>Indifference towards those loved best; inability to realize responsibility; buoyancy. Mentally elated and gay.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Alopecia. Caries of skin. Pressure on sides of head from within outward. Caries of ossicles and mastoid, with copious discharge; worse warmth (Silica<\/i><\/span>; worse cold). Exostosis.<\/p>\n

Eyes.–<\/b><\/span>Sensation as of wind blowing through eyes<\/i><\/span>. Lachrymal fistula. Violent itching of inner canthus.<\/p>\n

Nose.–<\/b><\/span>Chronic nasal catarrh with ulceration of the septum; nose obstructed and dull heavy pain in forehead.<\/p>\n

Mouth.–<\/b><\/span>Dental fistula, with persistent bloody, salty discharge. Syphilitic ulceration of throat, which is very sensitive to cold. Teeth feel warm. Affects teeth and bones of upper jaw.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Heaviness and weight in stomach heat in stomach before meals. Sour eructations. Averse to coffee, wants fancy dishes. Stomach symptoms relieved by tight clothes. Desire for highly seasoned food. Craves cold water, hungry. Warm drinks produce diarrh\u0153a.<\/p>\n

Abdomen.–<\/b><\/span>Soreness over liver. Flatus and eructations.<\/p>\n

Stool.–<\/b><\/span>Bilious diarrh\u0153a, with aversion to coffee.<\/p>\n

Male.–<\/b><\/span>Burning in urethra. Sexual passion and desire increased with erections at night, during sleep.\u00a0Swollen scrotum<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Urine.–<\/b><\/span>Scanty, dark. In dropsy, produces frequent and free discharge, with great relief.<\/p>\n

Female.–<\/b><\/span>Menses copious, frequent, too long. Ulceration of uterus and os. Copious and excoriating leucorrh\u0153a. Nymphomania.<\/p>\n

Respiratory.–<\/b><\/span>Oppression of chest, difficult breathing, great dyspn\u0153a. Hydrothorax.<\/p>\n

Extremities.–<\/b><\/span>Inflammation of joints of fingers. Feeling as of a splinter under nail. Nails crumble. Caries and necrosis, especially of long bones. Coccygodynia. Ulcer over tibia.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Varicose veins<\/i><\/span>. N\u00e6vi. Ulcers; red edges and vesicles. Decubitus; worse, warmth. Syphilitic rupia. Itching of cicatrices. Feels as if burning vapor were emitted from pores.\u00a0Itching especially of the orifices<\/i><\/span>, and in spots, worse warmth. Nails grow rapidly. Periosteal abscess. Profuse, sour, offensive perspiration. Syphilitic tubercles.\u00a0Dropsy of limbs<\/i><\/span>\u00a0in old, feeble constitutions. Atony of capillary and venous system. Tissues bloated.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>, warmth, morning, warm drinks.\u00a0Better<\/i><\/span>, cold while walking.<\/p>\n
