Venous congestion, h\u00e6morrhages, varicose veins, and h\u00e6morrhoids, with\u00a0bruised soreness of affected parts<\/i><\/span>, seem to be the special sphere of this remedy. Acts upon the coats of the veins causing relaxation with consequent engorgement. Passive venous h\u00e6morrhages from any part. Great value in open, painful wounds, with weakness from loss of blood. After operations, supersedes the use of morphia (Helmuth).<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Wants “the respect due to me” shown. Feeling as of a bolt from temple to temple. Fullness, followed by epistaxis. Numbness over frontal bone.<\/p>\n

Eyes.–<\/b><\/span>Painful weakness;\u00a0sore pain<\/i><\/span>\u00a0in eyes; bloodshot appearance; inflamed vessels greatly injected. Hastens absorption of intraocular h\u00e6morrhage. Eyes feel forced out.<\/p>\n

Nose.–<\/b><\/span>Bleeding from nose profuse; flow passive, non-coagulable, with tightness in bridge of nose. Bad odor from nose.<\/p>\n

Throat.–<\/b><\/span>Mucous membrane distended and bluish; varicosis of throat.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Tongue feels burnt. Thirst. Blisters on side. H\u00e6matemesis of black blood. Throbbing and pain in stomach.<\/p>\n

Stool.–<\/b><\/span>Anus feels sore and raw.\u00a0H\u00e6morrhoids, bleeding profusely, with soreness<\/i><\/span>. Dysentery. Pulsation in rectum.<\/p>\n

Urine.–<\/b><\/span>H\u00e6maturia, with increased desire.<\/p>\n

Female.–<\/b><\/span>Ovarian congestion and neuralgia; feel very sore. Vicarious menstruation. Uterine h\u00e6morrhage, bearing-down pain in back. Menses\u00a0dark, profuse, with soreness in abdomen. Metrorrhagia, occurring midway between menstrual periods<\/i><\/span>. Intermenstrual pain (Jas. W. Ward). Vagina very tender. Profuse leucorrh\u0153a. Vulva itches. Milk-leg, h\u00e6morrhoids, and sore nipples, after confinement. Metrorrhagia; passive flow. Vaginismus, ovaritis, soreness over whole abdomen. Phlegmasia alba.<\/p>\n

Male.–<\/b><\/span>Pain in spermatic cord, running into testes. Varicocele. Pain in testicles. Orchitis. Testicles enlarged, hot, and painful. Epididymitis.<\/p>\n

Respiratory.–<\/b><\/span>H\u00e6moptysis; tickling cough. Chest feels sore and constricted.<\/p>\n

Back.–<\/b><\/span>Sore pain down cervical vertebr\u00e6. Severe pain in lumbar and hypogastric region, extending down legs.<\/p>\n

Extremities.–<\/b><\/span>Tired feeling in arms and legs. Very sore muscles and joints. Varicose veins. Chilliness in back and hips, extending down legs. Neuralgia of internal saphenous nerve.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Bluish chilblains. Phlebitis. Purpura. Varicose veins and ulcers; very sore. Burns. Ecchymosis. Traumatic inflammations (Arnica<\/i><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>, warm, moist air.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare in h\u00e6morrhoids:\u00a0Calc fluor; Aloe; Mur ac in varicose veins. Mangifera indica<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n
