Mind.–<\/b><\/span>Tormented about her salvation. Consolation aggravates.\u00a0Profound depression of spirits<\/i><\/span>. Constant inclination to weep. Anxious;\u00a0fears some organic and incurable disease<\/i><\/span>. Disposed to curse, strike, think obscene things.\u00a0Aimless, hurried manner;<\/i><\/span>\u00a0must keep busy.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Hot, dull, heavy. Faint in warm room. Wild feeling in head.<\/p>\n

Eyes.–<\/b><\/span>Hyper\u00e6sthesia of retina. Pain, extending back into head; lachrymation; and impaired vision.\u00a0Myopic astigmia<\/i><\/span>. Useful in restoring power to the weakened ciliary muscle (Arg nit<\/i><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Flatulent; nausea, with sensation of lump in stomach. Hungry; longs for meat. Thirsty, drinks often and much, and before severe symptoms.<\/p>\n

Abdomen.–<\/b><\/span>Abdomen sore, distended; trembling sensation in abdomen. Pressure downwards and backwards against rectum and anus; worse, standing; better, walking in open air. Bearing down in lower part of abdomen.<\/p>\n

Urinary.–<\/b><\/span>Frequent urging. Urine milky, scanty,\u00a0hot<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Stool.–<\/b><\/span>Constant desire to defecate,\u00a0from pressure in rectum<\/i><\/span>, worse standing. Pressure down the anus. Early-morning urgent stool. Dysentery; mucus and blood, with tenesmus, especially in plethoric and nervous women at change of life.<\/p>\n

Heart.–<\/b><\/span>Sensation as if heart were grasped in a vise (Cact<\/i><\/span>). Feels full to bursting. Pulsations over whole body. Palpitation; irregular pulse; very rapid. Pain in cardiac region, with feeling of a load on chest. Cold feeling about heart. Suffocating feeling in a crowded and warm room. Angina pectoris with pain in right arm.<\/p>\n

Female.–<\/b><\/span>Menses early, scanty,\u00a0dark, clotted, offensive; flow only when moving about. Bearing down sensation with urgent desire for stool, as though all organs would escape. Ceases when resting<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(Sep; Lac c; Bell<\/i><\/span>).\u00a0Congestion of uterus<\/i><\/span>, prolapse, and anteversion. Constant desire to support parts externally. Pain in ovaries and down thighs. Acrid, brown leucorrh\u0153a; smarting in labia. Sexual instinct awakened. Bloated feeling in uterine region. Sub-involution. Pruritus pudendi.<\/p>\n

Extremities.–<\/b><\/span>Cannot walk on uneven ground. Pain in back and spine, with trembling, but oftener in front of a pressing-down character. Pricking in fingers. Pain in right arm and hip. Legs ache; cannot keep them still. Pain in ankle joint. Burning palms and soles.<\/p>\n

Sleep.–<\/b><\/span>Unrefreshing, with disagreeable dreams. Unable to sleep, with wild feeling in head.<\/p>\n

Fever.–<\/b><\/span>Great heat and lassitude in afternoon, with throbbing throughout body.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>\u00a0consolation, warm room.\u00a0Better<\/i><\/span>, fresh air.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare:\u00a0Cact; Helon; Murex; Sep; Plat; Pallad<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n
