Acts especially upon the muscular tissue and skin, and its most characteristic effects are upon the chest walls, like pleurodynia.\u00a0Bad effects of Alcohol; delirium tremens<\/i><\/span>. Spasmodic hiccough. Hydrothorax. Shocks throughout the whole body. Sensitive to air and touch. Chronic sciatica.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Irritable, pains in forehead and eyeballs. Creeping sensation in scalp. Pressing pain in forehead from within outward.<\/p>\n

Eyes.–<\/b><\/span>Day-blindness; mist before eyes; pressure and smarting in eyes, as from smoke. Pain over right eye; better, standing and walking. Herpes on cornea. Vesicles on cornea, with intense pain, photophobia, and lachrymation.<\/p>\n

Chest.–<\/b><\/span>Various kinds of pains and soreness,\u00a0as if bruised in sternum<\/i><\/span>, ribs, intercostal spaces, and both hypochondria.\u00a0Inter-costal rheumatism. Chilliness in chest when walking in open air<\/i><\/span>. Stitches in chest, between shoulder-blades; worse, inspiring, moving. Rheumatic pain in chest, as from subcutaneous ulceration.\u00a0Tenderness of abdomen to pressure. Muscular pain along lower margin of the shoulder-blade<\/i><\/span>; burning in small spots from sedentary employment.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Burning and intense itching; worse, contact<\/i><\/span>. Hard excrescences.\u00a0Herptic eruptions<\/i><\/span>, with great itching.\u00a0Shingles, bluish vesicles<\/i><\/span>. Itching in palms. Blister-like eruption in palms. Corns sensitive. Horny skin. Finger-tips and palms chapped. Vesicular and pustular eruptions.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>, open air, motion, contact, atmospheric changes, wet, stormy weather, evening. Cold air brings on all sorts of ailments.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Incompatible:\u00a0Sulph; Staph<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Compare:\u00a0Ranunc acris<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(pain in lumbar muscles and joints by bending and turning body);\u00a0Ranunc glacialis<\/i><\/span>-Reindeer flower Carlina–(Pulmonary affections; broncho-pneumonical Influenza-enormous weight in head with vertigo and sensation as of impending apoplexy; night-sweats-more on thighs);\u00a0Ranunc repens<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(crawling sensation in forehead and scalp in evening in bed);\u00a0Ranunc flammula<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(ulceration; gangrene of arm).
