Action on mucous membrane of the nose and the lachrymal glands, producing coryza and symptoms like\u00a0hay-fever<\/i><\/span>, which have been utilized homeopathically.\u00a0Chilliness<\/i><\/span>; sensitive to cold. Ascarides, with reflex symptoms (nymphomania; convulsive symptoms). Children’s diarrh\u0153a with constant cutting pains.<\/p>\n

Mind.–<\/b><\/span>Nervous, timid, easily startled. Has erroneous notions about himself. Imagines that he is very sick; that parts are shrunken; that she is pregnant; that she has cancer; delirium during intermittents.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Vertigo with sensation as though all things were turning around each other, accompanied by blackness before eyes and sensation of fainting. Dullness and oppression. Over-sensitiveness to odors.\u00a0Thinking<\/i><\/span>\u00a0produces headache and sleeplessness.\u00a0Eyelids red, burning. Lachrymation<\/i><\/span>. Difficult hearing.<\/p>\n

Nose.–<\/b><\/span>Spasmodic sneezing, with running nose. Coryza<\/i><\/span>, with severe frontal pains and redness of eyes and lachrymation. Copious, watery, nasal discharge.<\/p>\n

Throat.–<\/b><\/span>Sore;\u00a0begins on left side<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(Lach<\/i><\/span>). Much tough phlegm. Sensation of a skin hanging loosely; must swallow it.\u00a0Warm food and drink relieve<\/i><\/span>. Empty swallowing most painful. Dry fauces and throat. Sensation of a lump in throat with\u00a0constant<\/i><\/span>\u00a0necessity to swallow. Chronic sore throat; worse, from cold air. Tongue as if burnt.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Spasmodic pain in stomach with dry cough and difficult breathing.\u00a0No thirst<\/i><\/span>. Loathing for strong food. Canine appetite for sweets and farinaceous food. Pyrosis; copious salivation. Cold, empty feeling in stomach.\u00a0Desire for hot things. Sweetish<\/i><\/span>\u00a0taste.<\/p>\n

Female.–<\/b><\/span>Menses too late; come by fits and starts.\u00a0Intermit<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(Kreos; Puls<\/i><\/span>). (due to transient and localized congestion of womb alternating with chronic an\u00e6mic state).<\/p>\n

Fever.–<\/b><\/span>Chill predominates<\/i><\/span>; from below upwards. Heat in head and face; hands and feet icy cold, with chill. Lachrymation during paroxysm. Thirstless.<\/p>\n

Extremities.–<\/b><\/span>Cracking of skin under and beneath toe; inflammation under toe-nails.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Dry, like parchment. Horny, deformed,\u00a0thickened nails<\/i><\/span>. Hot, burning, creeping, crawling sensation. Itching in anus.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Worse<\/i><\/span>, cold and cold drinks, full moon.\u00a0Better<\/i><\/span>, warm food and drink, wrapped up.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Complementary:\u00a0Sepia<\/i><\/span>. Compare:\u00a0Veratrina<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(is alkaloid of Sabadilla,\u00a0not<\/i><\/span>\u00a0of Veratrum, locally in neuralgias, and for removal of dropsy. Five grains to two drams Lanolin, rubbed on inside of thighs, causes diuresis).\u00a0Colch; Nux; Arundo<\/i><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Pollatin<\/i><\/span>.\u00a0Phleum pratense<\/i><\/span>-Timothy-Hay-fever-Potentized-12-specific to many cases and evidently acts in a desensitizing manner (Rabe).\u00a0Cumarinum<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(hay-fever).<\/p>\n

Antidotes:\u00a0Puls; Lycop; Conium; Lach<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n
