Rheumatic pains, chronic sprains, stenosis of \u0153sophagus. Pains make patient faint or sick all over. Chronic\u00a0sequel\u00e6 of h\u00e6morrhages<\/i><\/span>, after operations with much oozing of blood and coldness and prostration. Arterio-sclerosis. High blood pressure with flushed face pulsating arteries, threatened apoplexy. Violent involuntary starts. Affections of bones, especially femur. Restlessness at night, smothering feeling.\u00a0For shock after surgical operations<\/i><\/span>.\u00a0Neuritis<\/i><\/span>, great sensitiveness to cold.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Vertigo with headache and nausea<\/i><\/span>. Distensive pressure. Aches from nape of neck, spreading upwards; better wrapping head up warmly (Sil<\/i><\/span>). Flushes in face; violent pulsating. Supraorbital neuralgia; pains increase and decrease slowly (Stann<\/i><\/span>). Bloody crusts in nose. Face red; burns, itches. Itching, redness and burning of nose.<\/p>\n

Eyes.–<\/b><\/span>Burning and redness of eyes. Pain and lachrymation on using eyes, with dancing and chromatic alterations of objects looked at.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Loss of appetite, aversion to meat, craves bread and beer. Food tasteless. Eructations after eating. Hiccough causes chest pains; cardialgia.<\/p>\n

Abdomen.–<\/b><\/span>Sticking in abdominal ring. Diarrh\u0153a;\u00a0worse at night; continuous urging<\/i><\/span>; better towards morning. Burning in anus lasts a long time after stool (Ratanh<\/i><\/span>). Uncomfortable fullness and swelling of abdomen.<\/p>\n

Extremities.–<\/b><\/span>Sciatica with \u0153dema of ankle. Rheumatic pain in right shoulder. Rheumatism with diarrh\u0153a. Gnawing as if in marrow of bones. Cramps in calves and soles.\u00a0Chronic<\/i><\/span>\u00a0spasms, particularly of ankle-joint. \u0152dematous swelling. Icy-cold feet. Rheumatic pains, especially in joints. Veins of hands engorged.<\/p>\n

Fever.–<\/b><\/span>Heat, with aversion to uncover or undress.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Moist, itching, burning eruption; better in open air, especially warm sunshine.\u00a0Sprains of ankle-joint, with \u0153dema<\/i><\/span>. Violent perspiration at night.<\/p>\n

Modalities.–<\/b><\/span>Better<\/i><\/span>\u00a0immersing in\u00a0hot water; worse<\/i><\/span>, change of weather; from being quiet; when beginning to move; great sensitiveness to cold.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare:\u00a0Arnica; Ruta; Sil; Baryta c; Carbo; Stront jodat<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(arterio-sclerosis).\u00a0Strontium brom<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(often gives excellent results where a bromide is indicated. Vomiting of pregnancy. Nervous dyspepsia. It is anti-fermentative and neutralizes excessive acidity).\u00a0Stront nit<\/i><\/span>\u00a0(Morbid cravings; headache and eczema behind ears).<\/p>\n
