Has a selective affinity for\u00a0bleeding mucous surfaces<\/i><\/span>. Tympanites and urinary symptoms very marked. Inflammation of kidneys, with h\u0107morrhages-dark, passive, fetid. Bright’s disease preceded by dropsy (Goullon). Drowsiness and strangury. Coma.\u00a0Unbroken chilblains<\/i><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Head.–<\/b><\/span>Dull pain like from a band around the head (Carb ac<\/i><\/span>). Vertigo, with vanishing of vision. Disturbed sense of equilibrium. Tired and difficult concentration of thoughts. Cold in head with sore nostrils with disposition to bleed.<\/p>\n

Eyes.–<\/b><\/span>Ciliary neuralgia over right eye. Intense pain in eye and side of head. Amblyopia from alcohol.<\/p>\n

Ears.–<\/b><\/span>Own voice sounds unnatural; humming as of a seashell, talking loudly is painful. Otalgia.<\/p>\n

Mouth.–<\/b><\/span>Tongue\u00a0dry, red sore, shining<\/i><\/span>; burning in tip, with prominent papill\u0107 (Arg n; Bell; Kali b; Nux m<\/i><\/span>). Breath cold, foul. Choking sensation in throat. Stomatitis. Dentition.<\/p>\n

Stomach.–<\/b><\/span>Nausea and vomiting; heat in epigastric region.<\/p>\n

Abdomen.–<\/b><\/span>Enormous distention<\/i><\/span>. Diarrh\u015ba; stools watery, greenish, fetid, bloody. Pain before flatus with and relief after stool. H\u0107morrhage from bowels. Worms; lumbrici. Abdominal dropsy; pelvic peritonitis. Fainting after every stool Entero-colitis, with h\u0107morrhage and ulceration of bowels.<\/p>\n

Urinary.–<\/b><\/span>Strangury, with bloody urine<\/i><\/span>. Scanty, suppressed,\u00a0odor of violets<\/i><\/span>. Urethritis, with painful erections (Canthar<\/i><\/span>). Inflamed kidneys following any acute disease. Constant tenesmus.<\/p>\n

Female.–<\/b><\/span>Intense\u00a0burning in uterine region<\/i><\/span>. Metritis; puerperal peritonitis. Metrorrhagia with burning in uterus.<\/p>\n

Respiratory.–<\/b><\/span>Difficult breathing; lungs feel distended; h\u0107moptysis. Bloody expectoration.<\/p>\n

Heart.–<\/b><\/span>Pulse rapid, small, thready, intermittent.<\/p>\n

Back.–<\/b><\/span>Burning pain in region of kidneys<\/i><\/span>. Drawing in right kidney extending to hip.<\/p>\n

Skin.–<\/b><\/span>Acne. Erythema; itching pustular, vesicular eruption; urticaria. Purpura, ecchymosis, dropsies. Scarlatina. Chilblains; with excessive itching and pulsative pains. Aching soreness of the muscles.<\/p>\n

Fever.–<\/b><\/span>Heat, with violent thirst, dry tongue, profuse cold, clammy sweat. Typhoid with tympanites, h\u0107morrhages, stupor, delirium. Prostration.<\/p>\n

Relationship.–<\/b><\/span>Compare:\u00a0Alumen; Secale; Canth; Nit ac. Terebene<\/i><\/span>\u00a01x; (chronic bronchitis and winter coughs; subacute stages of inflammation of respiratory tract. Loosens secretion, relieves tightened feeling, makes expectoration easy).\u00a0Neurotic coughs<\/i><\/span>. Huskiness of public speakers, and singers. Cystitis when urine is alkaline and offensive.<\/p>\n
