NATRUM MURIATICUM<\/span><\/h1>\n

(Sodium Chloride)
\nHuman body is composed of about 70% water which will be useless if
\nthere is deficiency of Natrum Mur.
\nIt is a constituent of fluids and solids of the body. It regulates moisture
\nwithin the cells. It is a carrier of moisture to each and every cell of the
\nbody. It attracts the water for distribution in the organism and to build
\nup and carry on the functions of life whereas Natrum Sulph attracts the
\nwater which is in excess to eliminate it from the organism. Dryness of
\nsome mucous membranes and copious watery discharge from others are
\nconsequential to deficiency of sodium chloride (Natrum Mur).
\nBesides, Natrum Mur regulates the osmotic pressure, and keeps acid
\nbase balance. It assists in formation of new cells. It stimulates the
\nformation of red blood corpuscles. Sodium unites with carbonic acid
\nand enters the blood as sodium carbonate. The dissolved chlorine
\nbecomes Hydrochloric acid and helps in curing dyspepsia.
\nThe tongue has clean and shiny appearance with bubbles of saliva.
\nThere may be violent thirst for large quantities of water and a longing
\nfor salty food and aversion to bread.
\nNatrum Mur is also useful in:-
\n1) It is the chief remedy for sunstroke; 12x potency to be used.
\n2) Muscular asthenopia (weak\/ painful vision); no better remedy.
\n3) Hammering headache worse morning; hemicrania.
\n4) Roaring in ears, cracking when chewing.
\n5) Loss of smell and taste with coryza.
\n6) Toothache with involuntary flow of tears or salivation.
\n7) Mumps with salivation, and frequent coughing of salty mucus.
\n8) Delirium Tremens.
\n9) Menses with terrible sadness.
\n10) Dry short cough, day and night.
\n11) Backache relieved by lying on something hard; uterine troubles
\nrelieved by lying on back on a pillow; spinal irritation with rigidity of
\nmuscles.
\n12) The patient dreams of robbers in the house.
\n13) Effects of insect-bites. (Moisten the spot and apply thereto NatrumMur in 6x potency, rubbing it in, pain ceases. This external application
\ncures rapidly.)
\n14) Anemia & chlorosis, after Ferrum Phos and Calcarea Phos have
\nbeen given.
\n15) Aphthae with flow of saliva, alternate with Kali Mur.
\n16) Indigestion with watery vomiting.
\n17) Diarrhea alternating with constipation.
\n18) Neuralgic nerve pains.
\n19) Hay fever
\n20) Eczema with white scales; eczema on eyebrows.
\n21) Herpetic eruptions especially in bends of knee and elbow, or around
\nanus; miliary eruptions.
\n22) Dropsy in any part of the body.
\n23) Falling out of hair (1x solution externally)
\n24) Cracked fingertips.
\n25) Leucoderma; white scales on the scalp, skin blisters between thigh
\nand scrotum with acrid discharge.
\n26) Intermittent fever after the abuse of quinine and by living in damp
\nregion; thirst before and during the chill.
\n27) Sterility.
\n28) Leukemia (blood cancer); in the opinion of Dr Willmar Schwabe \u201cIt
\nhas favorable effect on deficient blood composition.\u201d Dr E. P. Anshutz
\nhas written that \u201cIt has proved curative in Leukemia.\u201d
\n29) Chronic facial eczema.
\n30) Pleurisy with watery exudations.
\n31) If the patient consumes salt and alcohol excessively, he requires it
\nfor reducing this craving considerably.
\n32) Painful constriction of hamstrings with emaciated limbs.
\n33) Abundant leucorrhoea with unnatural dryness of vagina.
\nThe patient tires easily, and loses weight. He\/she is chilly and often
\nsuffers from cold, and the breath is foetid. Fatigue, exhaustion,
\nreadiness to shed tears, weak memory and increased salivation are
\ntypical signs of a patient of Natrum Mur. Complaints develop slowly.
\nThe patient is better in open air, evening, by fasting or sitting; worse
