Angina Pectoris & other heart affections<\/span><\/h1>\n

(The patient may suffer from severe spasmodic constrictive pain in chest caused by inadequate
\nsupply of blood and oxygen to the heart, often due to unhealthy lifestyle, hypertension, emotional
\nstress or exercise. Early diagnosis and treatment is of primary importance. People should never
\nneglect it by considering it as gastric pain, and must consult a doctor.)
\nSome symptoms:
\na) Paroxysmal dyspnoea
\nb) Orthopnoea (Condition in which one can breathe only when upright)
\nc) Bumping, fluttering, pounding, throbbing or thumping palpitation
\nd) Strangling pain in the chest in midsternal or transternal, often spreading to one or both
\narms, less to the neck and sometimes to the epigastrium or back.
\ne) The pain may radiate up to the elbow or the wrist even fingers and back, and above, up to
\nneck and upper jaw, but rarely to the abdomen.
\nf) Transient loss of consciousness
\nRemedies:
\n1) Arsenic Alb 12x: It is beneficial to irritable heart of smokers & tobacco-chewers, with
\nexcessive thirst, fear of death, and pain in neck & occiput, worse midnight, better warm
\ndrinks. It may be taken three times a day for some days.
\n2) Kali Phos 6x: For weak or intermittent action of heart, with imperceptible pulse &
\nfunctional complaints, due to effects of violent emotions, grief or nervousness, and fainting
\nfrom fright and fatigue, it is the best bio-chemic remedy and is quite safe and may be given in
\nalternation with Ferrum Phos 6x, frequency of doses as may be essential. In case necessary,
\nMag Phos 6x, 5 grains in hot water, every 10 minutes, 4 or 5 doses, may be given to mitigate
\nthe violence of the paroxysms of shooting & darting pains in the region of heart, and to
\nshorten the duration thereof.
\n3) For enlarged heart and enlarged blood vessels, Calcarea Fluor 6x is the chief remedy to
\nrestore contractibility to the elastic fibres, and may be given in alternation with Ferrum Phos
\n6x twice a day.
\n4) For dropsical swellings, Natrum Mur and Kali Sulph both in 6x potency should be given in
\nalternation every two hours for a few days.
\n5) In the case of poor circulation of blood and oxygen due to gas formation, Calcarea Phos and
\nNatrum Phos both in 6x potency should be given in alternation every two hours in 5 grain doses
\nfor a month or so, and if abscess leads to blood clots, Kali Mur and Ferrum Phos similarly.<\/p>\n
