Appendicitis<\/span><\/h1>\n

(Typhlitis)
\n(Inflammation of vermiform appendix)
\nSigns, Symptoms & suggestion:
\na) The infection generally occurs in the teeth, tonsils or naso-pharynx and is
\ntransported to the appendix.
\nb) The patient experiences pain on the lower abdomen in the right side.
\nc) It occurs suddenly, and is quite severe.
\nd) The patient may vomit, even faint and suffer from continuous nausea.
\ne) The first attack may subside, but after some days he\/she may have more and
\nmore severe attacks.
\nf) If untreated, the appendix may burst which is usually fatal.
\nRemedies:
\n1) To overcome acute nature of pain, Mag Phos 6x, 5 tablets forming a dose, in
\nwarm water, every 15 minutes, 4 to 7 times.
\n2) The chief remedy is Kali Mur. It should be given alternately, in half-hourly doses
\nin 6x potency with four doses of Mag Phos in 3x potency in lukewarm water during
\nthe first day of attack. Also give Silicea 12x two doses during the day. During
\nsubsequent days of the illness, administer Ferrum Phos & Kali Mur both in 12x
\npotency in two hourly doses, and repeat two doses of Silicea 12x, morning and
\nevening.
\n3) Apply hot fomentation using four doses of Ferrum Phos in 3x or 6x potency in a
\nsmall solution, as and when needed.
\n4) Natrum Sulph 6x, twice a day for a week: If the patient is afflicted with abscess
\nof the appendix and there are fever and inflammation also, it is the remedy.
\nRemarks: No food during pains of appendicitis; only tepid water to sip.<\/p>\n
