{"id":26889,"date":"2023-04-14T07:25:47","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T07:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/materiamedica.net\/?p=26889"},"modified":"2023-04-14T07:25:47","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T07:25:47","slug":"hernia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.epostpro.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/14\/hernia\/","title":{"rendered":"Hernia"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Hernia<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>(Abnormal protrusion of all or part of an organ, especially a part of the intestine, through a<br \/>\ntear or rupture in the wall of the surrounding structure; it may be abdominal, cerebral,<br \/>\nhiatus, inguinal, inguinosacral, labial, scrotal, umbilical, vaginal, strangulated; in case the<br \/>\nagony continues despite treatment, timely consultation with a surgeon is a must.)<br \/>\nRemedies:<br \/>\n1)<strong> Plumbum Met 6x or 12x:<\/strong> It is quite good in intussusception with colic around navel<br \/>\nregion radiating to all parts of body and in strangulated hernia, femoral, inguinal, or<br \/>\numbilical. There may be a sensation of abdominal wall being drawn by a string to the spine.<br \/>\nIt may be taken 4 hourly for some days. The patient is worse at night and during movement.<br \/>\n2) <strong>Ferrum Phos 3x<\/strong>: It is useful in inflamed and incarcerated hernia. It should be taken 2<br \/>\nhourly. For abdominal hernia in anemic patients, Calcarea Phos 3x, which is quite good in<br \/>\nthe case of hernia of the navel, should also be given as may suit with Ferrum Phos.<br \/>\n3) <strong>Calcarea Fluor 6x:<\/strong> It is the principal bio-chemic remedy to contract relaxed parts and to<br \/>\nenhance elasticity of connective fibers and muscles. It may be alternated with Silicea 6x, 4<br \/>\nhourly. \u201cApply a cold compress over the swelling and preferably soaked first in a solution of<br \/>\nCalc-f. Keep the knees raised.\u201d ( Editors of B.
