Psoriasis<\/span><\/h1>\n

(Chronic recurrent silvery scaly reddish eruptions on skin, not infectious; the lesions occur preeminently on the elbows, knees, scalp, and trunk.)
\nSigns & Symptoms, also precaution:
\na) Psoriasis commences as a pin-sized papule, with a silvery, scaly lining.
\nb) Soon numerous scaly patches appaear.
\nc) As the infection spreads, the patches merge after the patient indulges in
\nscratching.
\nd) When the scales fall off, shiny, dry, red skin is revealed.
\ne) In case, the infection heals at one point, it leaves a ring or rings which form a
\nchain.
\nf) If the nails are affected, pin-head size pits are seen, and the nails crack if the
\ninfection spreads.
\ng) Psoriasis forms a very thick crust upon the scalp, as the hair prevent the scales
\nfrom falling off.
\nh) It is related to incomplete protein digestion, alcohol intake, bowel imbalance,
\nliver dysfunction, too much animal fat consumption.
\ni) Non-veg food should be substituted with vegetarian foods.
\nj) It is believed that the disease is caused by eating a fish suffering from psoriasis.
\nk) It can be on any part of the body, rarely on face.
\nl) Actual cause is not known.
\nm) It is generally hereditary.
\nn) In case, the infection heals at one point, it leaves a ring or rings which form a
\nchain.
\nRemedies:
\n1) Arsenic Alb 30x 6 hourly:<\/strong> It is excellent for treatment of Psoriasis. The dry rough scaly
\neruptions itch, burn like fire, worse after midnight, cold application and scratching, better
\nwarm drinking. The patient is mentally restless, physically too weak to move. Complaints
\nmay return annually.
\n2) Kali Ars 6x:<\/strong> The Kali Ars patient is restless, nervous, and anaemic. The intolerable
\nitching is worse from warmth, walking, undressing. It is good for skin cancer also. It should
\nbe given three times a day until improvement is observed and should be stopped as soon as it
\nhappens otherwise the disease may aggravate again.
\n3) Kali Sulph 3x:<\/strong> Great desquamation of the epidermis, dread of hot drinks;
\nevening\/heated room aggravation are characteristic features. \u201cPsoriasis on left leg and
\nelbow, whitish scales, burned and itched little when scratched. Arsenicum and Arsenicumiodatum were given without effect. Kali Sulph 3x, three times a day, cured patient in four
\nmonths completely.\u201d (Oscar Hansen, Copenhagen, 1898). In case psoriasis of extremities is
\nuncommonly hyperaemic and reddish in tint, Calcarea Fluor 12x should also be given once
\ndaily.
\n4) Aurum Mur Nat 3x twice daily for some days<\/strong>: It is very effective in Psoriasis syphilitica.
\n5) Cuprum Met 6x twice daily for a few days<\/strong>: Chronic Psoriasis with itching bluish spots,
\nworse in the folds of joints.
\n6) Kali Brom 6x twice daily for some days<\/strong>: It is one of the leading remedies for itching
\npsoriasis which is worse on chest, shoulders and face.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
