Mind and Disposition.

Greatly inclined to use strong language and violent expressions.

Fond of the good opinion of others ; also too much weight is laid on their judgement : therefore very excited in society, and her complaints worse on the next day.

Mental agitation, especially society, or musical entertainments, or excited conversation, or motion, aggravate the pain in the right ovary.

Excited and impatient (from headache).

[5] Time passes too slow.

 

Head.

Headache is worse in the afternoon ; pulsations over the whole body ; he feels as if the head were shaken to and fro from behind forwards ; better after sleep.

Morning headache, with weakness in the back.

Sensation of roughness on the forehead.

 

Eyes.

Dull, heavy pain in and behind the left eye, in the evening, after walking.

[10] Sensation of dryness on the edges of the lids.

Dryness and itching of the eyes in the evening, which is not relieved by rubbing.

 

Face.

Itching pimples in the face, on the nose, behind the ears.

Soreness and painfulness of the right corner of the mouth.

 

Throat.

Accumulation of tough mucus in the throat, with slimy taste, which returns after rinsing out the mouth.

[15] Dryness in the throat and on the tongue, without thirst.

Tongue red in the middle (morning).

Tickling, as if a crumb of bread had lodged in the throat.

 

Stomach and Abdomen.

Pain and soreness in the liver.

Pain in the left hypochondrium ; relieved by eructations.

[20] Pain in the region of the spleen.

Sensation as if the intestines were entangled and were turned into different directions.

Violent colic in the abdomen, more on the right side ; growing worse under continuous eructations ; can only endure the pain when lying on the left side ; worse from sneezing, coughing and urinating, and in the afternoon ; returning next day in the afternoon, with cold hands and feet, continuous chilliness, and passing of urine like blood mixed with water ; after going to bed cramps in the legs, which prevents motion in bed ; relieved by external heat (hot cloths).

Shooting pains from the navel to the pelvis.

Soreness in the abdomen with bearing down (on the right side).

[25] Swelling and hardness in the right side of the abdomen (ovary).

Shared pains, as darts with a knife, low down in the abdomen ; better after stool.

 

Stool and Anus.

Distended abdomen from flatulency.

Constipation ; stools hard, frequently whitish (like chalk).

 

Urinary Organs.

Single stitches through the bladder, with painful weakness in it.

[30] Single stitches in the urethra, extending down to the corona glandis.

Frequent micturition ; the bladder feels full, but little urine is passed.

Pressure in the bladder, as if it were very full.

Dark urine with brick-dust sediment, or coloring the vessel red.

Muddy (not dark) urine ; urine like water mixed with blood.

 

Sexual Organs.

[35] Men. Sensation as if the testicles were bruised, with pain in the abdomen.

Women. Pain and weakness, as if the uterus were sinking down ; every motion was especially painful ; she could not well stand.

Heaviness, like a weight in the pelvis.

Bearing-down pain.

In the region of the right ovary, drawing down and forward ; relieved by rubbing.

Swelling and induration of the right ovary, with soreness and a shooting pain from the navel to the pelvis ; with a heaviness and weight in the pelvis ; worse from exertion and while standing up, better when lying on the left side.

[40] Menstrual discharge while nursing.

Leucorrhoea, transparent, like jelly ; worse before and after menstruation.

 

Respiratory Organs.

Stitches in the right side of the chest, through to the back ; worse from taking a long breath, better when walking in the open air.

Pain in the region of the heart.

Pressing deep in the left side of the chest periodical, as if in the heart.

Pain in the heart, with paralysis of the left arm.

 

Back.

[45] Pain in the back and hips, with coldness of the limbs.

Tired feeling in the back.

 

Extremities.

Upper. Sudden stitches in the right shoulder-joint ; rheumatic pains in the right shoulder.

Sensation as if sprained in the right shoulder-joint.

Stitches from the shoulders into the middle of the chest.

[50] Pain in the right arm and temple.

Sensation of numbness in the left arm, as if paralyzed.

Lower. Rheumatic pains in the right hip.

 

Generalities.

Aversion to make any effort to exercise ; must lie down.

Stitches rheumatic pains, suddenly changing and often lasting but a short time ; soreness, as if bruised.

 

Sleep.

[55] Great sleepiness ; in the afternoon, sleep relieving the symptoms, and early in the evening.

 

Fever.

Chilliness with cold hands and feet, with colic.

Coldness of the limbs, with pain in the back.

 

Skin.

Redness of the knuckles ; warts on the knuckles.

Itching and crawling as from fleas, on different spots, -on the back arms, abdomen, thighs, ankles.

 

Conditions.

[60] The symptoms are caused or aggravated, by mental excitement wounded pride, and non-approval by others.

Aggravation on standing and from motion.

Amelioration when lying down, when lying on the left side.

The uterine and ovarian symptoms are similar to those of Platina and Argentum ; but the mental symptoms of Platina are the reverse to those of Palladium, and Argentum has similar symptoms on the left side to those of Palladium on the right side of the abdomen, on the ovaries, and in connection with the Prolapsus uteri.
